5th Annual SOARYN Youth Summit

What an uplifting experience was had at the Pioneer Memorial United Church on May 18th, 2019 when SOARYN held its 5th annual youth summit under the theme of Chosen—You Have Purpose!

The day featured 3 dynamic speakers: Pastor John Scott during Sabbath School, Pastor Andrew Orpana during Divine Service & Pastor Rowan Sewell for the evening! Each beautifully illustrated how God had chosen us for a purpose far greater than we could understand!

The summit was hosted by the Hamilton East Adventist Church, which catered to 300 people and served a scrumptious lunch! Many thanks to the church for being so accommodating!

The afternoon featured workshops from youth ministry laypersons, including Vilmara Lucas, Shereen McFarlane & Octavian Constantinescu. Each led a workshop on different topics, including Trusting God, Failure & Purpose, and being Called to Love! Special mention goes out to Polyana DeOliveria from Kitchener-Waterloo Adventist Church, as she facilitated a dynamic dating & relationship panel featuring young panelists who were single, engaged, and married! A huge thank you is also due to Grace Ayoo from ACF Queens, who led a vibrant and energetic children's program.

At the end of it all, teens, young adults, and even adults from 26 different churches left the youth summit having grown in Christ with an understanding that God loves them more than words can express! Thank you to everyone who helped make this summit a success!
