There is a peculiar ache that can settle on a young adult in church. It is not the ache of open hostility. It is quieter than that. It comes after the closing hymn, when everyone seems to have someone to stand beside.

The F.A.C.E series allowed the young speakers to draw upon common youth experiences under their given themes, examine the role of Christ within those experiences, and educate the church using remarkable Bible stories.

Centred around the theme “Here to Serve, Sent by Love,” the institute encouraged students to deepen their faith and reminded them of the calling God has placed on their lives as student leaders on their campuses.

Ontario youth leaders journeyed to Newfoundland where they would spend the next 5 days attending the Canadian Adventist Youth Summit (CAYS) under the title “Rise: Empowering Youth Leaders for Mission”.

As the retreat came to a close, one conclusion stands clearly: something had changed. Faces, testimonies, and renewed commitments reflected genuine transformation.

A part of being a good mentor is identifying the skills and values that matter but itis also about creating space for growth, learning and becoming.

There’s a moment in every career when you realize that leadership is not just about a job title. It’s about stepping in and taking action when something needs to be built, restored, or reimagined.

What a blessing it was to witness young people across Western Ontario actively engaged in worship and outreach while earnestly praying one for another and sharing their journey of faith and trust in God.
