North London Youth FACE Their Future
North London youth leaders Antonio & Fabrianna preparing for Global Youth Day 2026 outreach.
What happens when a group of young people comes together to serve the Lord, educate the church, and grow in faith? The answer was found throughout the F.A.C.E youth series titled Face Your Future in Christ, which left a lasting impact on all its participants. The series took place at North London Adventist Church in April and May of 2026 and it was such a wonderful time. The series was established to encourage, inspire, and challenge the church to think deeper about the topics of focus. The F.A.C.E series allowed the youth speakers to draw upon common youth experiences under their given themes, examine the role of Christ within those experiences, and educate the church using remarkable figures and verses from the Bible.
What exactly does F.A.C.E stand for? As the foundation of the experience, F.A.C.E stands for Focus, Alignment, Courage, and Engagement. These subjects are commonly discussed among youth and young people in their day-to-day lives. Because of the series, the chosen young people were able to help the church shift attention from the need for focus, alignment, courage, and engagement to looking towards the most important thing: God and aligning their lives to His will. As one of the speakers educated, “But seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
The goal of this series, which primarily focused on young people, challenged them to find God and that would “provide the Focus to stay on course, the Alignment to walk in His purpose, the Courage to overcome fear, and the Expectation to persevere through life's challenges with confidence in His promises.” While the work that was done within the program was truly inspiring, the vision that came before the program began was created with a clear purpose.

From correspondence with the Elder who established the program, it was clear that it would be a series to remember. Face Your Future in Christ was made to put special emphasis on the youth and tackle the experiences they face in their daily lives. Highlighting those experiences showed the youth that God sees their experiences and, through the Bible, has given wisdom to help them through it.
For a summary of the series, in week one, Antonio Grey’s inspiring word placed emphasis on Focus. One part of the his discussion was the story of Jesus telling Peter to walk on water, but due to Peter’s loss of faith and getting distracted, he loses the ability halfway. Peter stopped focusing on Jesus, and things went wrong. Antonio ended the sermon by teaching that we can only get through our lives and the trials it brings by focusing on God and having faith that he walks with us.
In week two, Fabrianna Brown had the theme of Alignment. Her sermon was about trusting God, following His direction, and not leaning on one's own understanding. Fabrianna highlighted Uzziah and how he disobeyed God by touching the Ark of the Covenant. Uzziah leaned on his own understanding by thinking he needed to catch the Ark to keep it from falling, instead of leaning on God’s instruction. She summarized by stating that we should align our lives in Christ and let God take the lead in our lives instead of letting Him get lost in it. After a break for Western Ontario Camp meeting in Chatham and Mother’s Day celebrations, we got right back into it.
In week three, we had a compelling message on Courage, Fear, and Faith. The speaker, Nkosana Denton, challenged us to examine our fears and how we could have courage through faith in Christ. One of the most memorable quotes was that everyone has feelings and emotions, but it’s how you respond to them that matters. The speaker also reminded us that we should not fear but know that God is in control.
In our fourth and final week, the speaker, Aniah Atkins, taught about Expectations and how they shape our lives. We need to have not only high but positive expectations for our future by trusting in God. Aniah shared, “We should live with the expectation that God is already moving. We must stop focusing on where we are now and trust where God is taking us.” She further asserted the need to understand that God is working for his children and not to worry about the future as well. The wonderful messages truly had a lasting impact and fostered an educational atmosphere.

The youth were not disappointed by the messages they received but were able to see God in so many ways. Additionally, the speakers help the youth discover that there are many bible stories and people in the bible that had experiences similar to them. Young people go through many trials in life, some struggles being distractions that the world brings, worrying about the future, dealing with emotions, and working through expectations. The series gave insight into how the young people could navigate these issues with Christ. It lets them know that they will never be alone in their hardship, that they can trust God with their future, and respond to everyday life with wisdom from the bible.
