Serving Ontario Teens
This month, we’re excited to sit down with Tiffany Mars, the dynamic co-chair for the Teens Ministry in the Ontario Conference. Known for her passion, energy, and heart for young people, Tiffany has been helping shape spaces where teens can grow in faith, leadership, and confidence. We asked her a few quick questions to learn more about her journey, her mission, and what inspires her to pour into the next generation.

Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to get involved in youth leadership.
My name is Tiffany Mars, and I wear many hats. I’m a teacher, youth pastor, member of AY Ministries at Philadelphia SDA, and co-chair of Teen Ministries at the conference. From a young age, I knew God was calling me to work with youth, it was only a matter of waiting to discover the avenue. I’ve always aspired to be the role model I didn’t necessarily have but always wanted. The youth are our future, and I’m honoured to help shape it.
What’s the most challenging part of serving in youth ministry and how do you handle it?
One of the greatest challenges is staying connected to what teens desire. Though it wasn’t long ago that I was a teenager myself, communication styles and lingo have evolved quickly. Thankfully, I don’t carry this responsibility alone. I’ve been blessed with a team of teens who share innovative ideas and trends, helping us stay relevant to this generation.
What is a memorable moment/event you’ve experienced serving in your position as Teens Ministry Co-chair?
My most memorable moment as co-chair has been organizing a game for the teens. It was filled with laughter, friendly rivalries, and the joy of new friendships being formed.
What is your favourite Bible verse and message you’d like to share with the youth reading this newsletter?
A favourite Bible verse I love to share is 1 Samuel 12:16: “Now stand here and see the great thing the Lord is about to do.” In today’s culture, success is often equated with visibility and recognition. Yet this verse reminds us to simply stand still and watch God move. He takes us to places we never imagined, opens doors we never thought possible, and does it all out of love for His glory, not ours.
Tiffany's passion and vision with us! Her heart for teens continues to inspire, and we’re excited to see the impact she’ll continue to make in her many roles.
