The Summer of Faith & Fellowship

This summer has been a season of growth and connection for our youth ministries across every region. Throughout July and August, young people have gathered to worship, learn, and serve—drawing closer to God, building lasting friendships, and making an impact in their communities. Here’s a glimpse into what’s been happening these past two months!

On a beautiful summer day, the East Central region gathered at Orono Park for a much-anticipated Youth and Young Adult BBQ—and it did not disappoint! With a great turnout from across the region, this event brought together old friends and new faces, including a surprise guest from the Blue Mountains area who just happened to be camping nearby.

The Social Team truly outdid themselves, serving up a delicious spread of hamburgers, hot dogs, and snacks that kept everyone full and happy. But the fun didn’t stop at the food! The team also organized high-energy games like Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Cup and an exciting photo scavenger hunt that had everyone laughing, running, and bonding.

More than just a social, this BBQ reminded us why these gatherings matter. They give us space to unwind, connect, and strengthen the friendships that carry us through our walk with Christ. Whether it's through shared meals, shared laughs, or shared faith, these moments help us grow as a community.

We’re grateful for all who came out and especially for the Social Team, who made it all happen. We can’t wait for the next one!

Metro North Central x YPN Picnic | Contributed by Natasha Nithiarajan
Summer was nothing short of unforgettable for the Metro North Central Region (MNC)! Kicking things off with the Ignited: Youth Rally, where young people came together to be empowered and spiritually recharged for service to God. The season blossomed with meaningful connections at the MNC x YPN networking picnic, where Adventist Young Professionals bonded over food, faith, and sunshine (with a little drizzle).

MNC Leaders also embraced growth at the MNC Leadership retreat at Camp New Lowell, where we dove into deep conversation and ideation of practical tools that can help Leaders elevate their ministry. Of course, not forgetting our RISE Vespers, which continues to keep hearts anchored in Reviving our faiths, Igniting our spirits, Seeking the Lord, and Enduring through the hardships. The summer may be winding down, but the spirit ignited within the region is just getting started.

SOARYN Camp Meeting 2025 | Contributed by Amayah Shaw
On July 11–12, youth from across the regions gathered at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds for a powerful camp meeting full of worship, fellowship, and spiritual renewal. Guest speaker Richard Green delivered timely messages on standing firm in faith despite life’s constant changes. Youth also served the local community by assembling care packages, writing encouraging notes, and connecting personally with residents to share Christ’s love in action. The weekend left a lasting impact, equipping young people to walk out their faith boldly and unshaken.

This summer has reminded us how powerful it is when youth come together to worship, serve, and grow in Christ. We’re grateful for every leader, volunteer, and young person who made these events possible, and we’re excited to see how God continues to work in the months ahead. Keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities to connect, learn, and make an impact as we head into a new season of ministry! God bless.
