Under the inspired theme “Made for More,” the Youth Section of the 2025 Western Ontario Camp Meeting came alive this past weekend with energy, purpose, and an unmistakable sense of divine calling.
From Friday night to Sabbath evening, young people gathered for a full slate of worship, conversation, and community outreach. The experience opened Friday night in a cozy, welcoming environment where hosts Raphael and Shaine invited youth to sit back and listen to the story of guest speaker, Pastor Sam Sinnanainar, Speaker-Director of Voice of Prophecy Canada. In a candid interview, Pastor Sam shared how his parents always reminded him that he was "dedicated to ministry"—a phrase he didn’t fully understand as a child.
"I kept wondering, what does that even mean?" he said. "I didn’t get it until I became an Adventist myself—through a radio program, of all things. My father heard someone on air say, ‘If you want real peace, call this number.’ That call led to a year of Bible studies that changed everything."
After the session, youth lingered to enjoy snacks, conversation, and laughter; an early glimpse of the connection that would deepen throughout the weekend.

Sabbath morning, youth gathered in breakout groups to wrestle with the question of self-worth through the lens of Scripture. Reflecting on Jeremiah 1:5, Romans 12:2, and Matthew 5:13-16, they explored how distorted thinking and negative self-perception often hinder them from walking fully in God’s purpose.
Sabbath Divine Worship was a highlight of the weekend. A vibrant praise team led by Andrea Lue, with singers Angel-Lee, Cassie, Ramiah, Aneisha, and Sherray, guided attendees into heartfelt worship. The band, featuring Christian on bass, Johnathan on drums, and Jared on keys, brought a dynamic, youthful energy to the space. Fittingly, many of them were once young people pastored by Pastor Sam himself.
Pastor Sam’s sermon explored the “Three Ps” of discovering purpose. “Your perspective will either propel you or paralyze you,” he declared in a moment that resonated deeply with many. He challenged youth to live not just with intention but with the understanding that they were crafted for something greater.

The service also spotlighted talents from across the region: a moving poem by Josely Bullon, a stirring special music from Living Faith Church, and regional updates shared by Angella Gregory, Western Ontario Regional Youth Association President.
Sabbath afternoon, youth poured into the community for outreach activities. Whether delivering meals in Chatham’s Tent City, singing and praying in local shelters, or walking the neighborhoods in prayer, they embraced the call to serve with open hearts and hands.
The weekend concluded with a joint worship service and evening concert showcasing both youth and adult talent. Pastor Sam’s closing appeal was clear: “Remember who created you, what you were created for, and the mission you’ve been given to bring hope and love to your world.”
In every conversation, every song, and every act of service, youth were reminded of one powerful truth: they are not only enough—they are Made for More.
