MNC Praise Hymn Open Mic Night

On November 29th, the Metro North Central (MNC) region hosted one of its most beloved traditions: Praise Hymn: Open Mic Night. As the penultimate event of the year, the evening was alive with laughter, heartfelt testimonies, and melodies of praise and thanksgiving.
Praise Hymn is a unique space where anyone in the region—and beyond—can step forward to share their gifts. From singing and poetry to testimony and even rap, the program opened the floor to creativity rooted in worship. This year’s gathering was filled with love and gratitude, each performance pointing hearts back to God.

Among the highlights were testimonies from Mik and Kiona, MNC associates, who spoke courageously about how God has called them through life’s challenges and decisions. Their words reminded attendees that even in difficult seasons, God’s voice leads us toward hope.
The night also featured a wide range of musical offerings: soft rap, solo vocals, guitar instrumentals, and a powerful praise set that filled the room with energy and joy. Each performance carried its own flavour, yet together they created a tapestry of worship that reflected the diversity and unity of the MNC community.
In addition to the music and testimonies, the evening marked the debut of MNC’s mission focus for 2026: Project Agape. This compassion-driven initiative seeks to reach those most in need of support, embodying Christ’s call to love in action. To launch the project, the region introduced a fundraiser through limited edition merchandise, inviting attendees to partner in this mission of care and outreach.
As the night drew to a close, one thing was clear: Praise Hymn was more than an event; it was an encounter with God’s presence through community. It reminded us that worship is not confined to a stage or a song but is found in every testimony, every note, and every act of love.
