Day of Truth & Reconciliation 2025

Reconciliation is more than just a word, symbol, shirt, or day. It is a lived reality and experience where every story is heard, every hurt is healed, and where we walk together as one united family. That’s the heart of reconciliation—God’s call to restore what’s been broken.

We are called

  • To be partners with Indigenous peoples

  • To honour their rich cultures and histories

  • To listen without judgement

  • To Build real friendships

  • To support their self-determination

  • And to advocate with and for indigenous peoples

Today, we honour the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples of Canada, whose traditions, stories, strength, and stewardship of creation have deeply shaped the culture and identity of all Canadians.

God’s ministry of reconciliation in our communities, our cities, this province, and our country starts with us. And make no mistake, it is more than just a day—it’s a lifestyle.

Together, may we walk in truth. May we work for healing. May we uplift Indigenous voices. And may we, through Christ, become one community of hope.

Miigwech.
