Metro East’s United in Prayer, Bold in Action
Attendees on the final day of Metro-East’s Youth Week of Prayer lead a closeout on Instagram.
The theme of our youth week of prayer was "United in prayer, bold in action". We entered our week with the intention of engaging with youth and young adults, edifying them, and emboldening their walk with Christ. We kicked off the week at Scarborough Adventist Church with a powerful word and testimony from Ps. Patrick named "He outdid my prayers," and he emphasised how our GOD is beyond expectations, fears, and all reason, and that He will always be bigger than our problems.

After catering lunch, we transitioned into a captivating conversation with Ps. Anderson and Cheri Notice about how we can get too caught up in our own lives to meet people where they are. We were reminded that we do not need to be perfect to serve. On Sunday, Ps. Darius dove into how to stay spiritually focused in a world full of distractions, giving attention to prayer and social media. Small group discussions continued on Monday with Ps. Tiffany Mars and Ps. Ha Rim Ji, guiding deep conversations about aligning our ministry with GOD's will.
Agape's Temple was rumbling as it was packed full of youth and young adults ready to dominate on Tuesday. We held our gym night with the sole purpose of getting youth and young adults excited, active, and to experience friendly competition while creating memories, having fun, and displaying their different skills. Needless to say, they showed up and showed out!
We switched locations to Smyrna adventist church on Wednesday, and reflected on Samson's story and how obedience can feel like a fight when purpose is forgotten. On Thursday, small group discussions continued. This time focusing on "Unity in diversity" and how to love each other despite our differences. Friday, we all became the sermon as we saw ourselves in characters from the story of the prodigal son.
Young people engaged in outreach with seniors in the local community.
For Global Youth Day, our region focused on outreach. We split up into different church groups and went into different parts of the community to spread the love and pour into the community what was overflowing from our week. Some churches visited group homes while others served breakfast and hosted a children's program for everyone.
The week featured dynamic worship sessions, incorporating youth and praise teams from various churches. We had plenty of creative prayers, active health segments, and interactive, thought-provoking discussions to keep attendees immersed, as well as snacks to keep the saints satiated.
It can be exclaimed, beyond on a shadow of doubt, God was present, the community was served, young people were engaged, and Metro East Youth Week of Prayer 2026 concluded as a powerful reminder of what happens when young people are equipped, empowered, and sent.
