MWC Youth & God: Seen. Known. Loved.

The Metro West Central Region began this year’s Youth Week of Prayer with a united vision centered on the theme “Seen. Known. Loved. – Rediscovering Your Place in God’s House.” It was a powerful time of spiritual renewal, connection, and service across our region. Hosted in collaboration between the Toronto Ghanaian Seventh-day Adventist Church (TGSDA) and the Malton Seventh-day Adventist Church, the week brought together youth and young adults for intentional worship, prayer, and community-building.

Throughout the week, attendees engaged in dynamic nightly programs that included praise and worship, impactful messages, and interactive prayer experiences designed to deepen their relationship with God. Each night focused on helping young people understand that they are fully seen, deeply known, and unconditionally loved by God.
We were blessed by the spiritual leadership of Pastor Obed Obeng, who guided the week’s messages, and Pastor Kwesi Gyimah, who led out during Global Youth Day. Their messages challenged and encouraged youth to not only grow in their faith but to actively live it out.

The week culminated in a high-energy worship night, preparing hearts for Global Youth Day, where faith was put into action. As part of the outreach initiative, youth assembled and distributed mental health care packages to youth without shelter, offering encouragement, essential items, and reminders that they are seen and valued.
To close the experience, members from TGSDA and Malton came together for a special consecration and communal lunch held in the gym. This time of fellowship reflected the unity and shared mission of the churches, reinforcing the importance of community in the life of faith.
Overall, the week was a meaningful reminder that when young people understand their identity in God, they are empowered to serve others with compassion and purpose. This is only the beginning of continued growth, impact, and connection within our region.
